Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at david@davidcollinsmedia.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Yes, I offer engagement photography sessions and video trailers as part of our wedding photography packages or as a Hybrid Package.

You are paying for a service and deliverables as defined in the Package Contracts. Most importantly, you are paying for my time and experience to bring you a superior Wedding Experience. You are also paying for all the time and resources put forth prior, during and after your Wedding to deliver your package deliverables. Every Package, contractually, is defined in the Terms of Service Contract.

Add-On's are Services added that aren't initial included in a particular Package. Add-On's include:

  • No. In context of Photography, I offer "Digital Negatives" which are the editable, digital files of the approved and delivered Photography set.

  • No. In context of Video Production, I offer a complete edit called a  "FOMO Edit" which is a curated and rendered timeline of nearly all of the clips from the day. This is the case for many reasons.

A lot of the time, there's simply misunderstandings when it comes to raw files. I'm going to do my best to clear any issues that may arise. The Packages and corresponding contracts will have all the "I's" dotted and "T's" crossed long before your big day. Cool? So here we go.

  1.  Video Footage and Photography files are shot on professional camera equipment and the digital files are show in a digital format called "Raw" to ensure the best possible quality.
  2. These "Raw" files are sometimes several gigabytes in file size, thus over 90% of average people can not open and view the files. Especially on a telephone.
  3. The "Raw" video files are exclusively intended for high performance computers and specific editing software to work with those files.
  4. At first glance, the "Raw" video files look very desaturated and bland. That's because the "Raw" files are encoded in such a way to allow the editor maximum flexibility to edit, and color correct the footage.
  5. Here's a better way to explain it. Do you like Chicken as a food source? Yeah, me too. Asking for "Raw" files is like going to a Butcher Shop, and they hand you a "Live" chicken, requiring YOU to do all the "processing" to get the living bird to your plate.

A "hybrid wedding creator" is a professional who combines both photography and videography skills to capture a wedding day, essentially acting as both a photographer and a videographer, taking still images and recording video footage simultaneously, often delivering a package including both traditional photographs and a highlight video from the event; this allows couples to get comprehensive coverage from a single person, saving costs and streamlining the process.

A "hybrid wedding creator" simplifies and streamlines your wedding coverage for your special day. It's easier to plan, AND budget your Wedding Coverage with a simple, yet effective single provider. A Hybrid Wedding saves time; instead of hiring, contracting and coordinating 2 teams, having a single provider allows the couple more time to enjoy the their wedding and less time worrying. By using a single provider, a more consistent style and color is delivered, thus delivering a more rewarding experience.

The advancements in Camera technology allows a single camera ecosystem to capture both high quality photography AND cinematic videography. It's as easy as capturing a moment with photography, and immediately capture the same moment with video all in the same camera. Sometimes, I may ask the couple to do something twice, or I simply may ask the couple to slow down that nice kiss so I have time to get both.
